Fast growing Diamond Box in double BOBST VISION purchase

Our existing BOBST diecutter has been working seven days a week for the past twelve months and our flexibility and lead times were in danger of suffering as a result. The installation of the VISION 160 will ensure that we keep up with the growth in demand we have seen for die-cut boxes whilst staying close to our core values of service and short lead times. The VISIONFOLD will give us greater capabilities when it comes to multi-point gluing whilst enhancing our reputation of being able to produce innovative and design-led solutions for our customers”. Following year-on-year sales growth at Diamond Box averaging in excess of 40%, the company has brought forward future planned investments to 2011, including the purchase of the VISION 160 and VISIONFOLD lines. It means they can continue to enjoy the very highest quality of products, but made in a quick, efficient and cost-effective way”. The VISION 160 is a 1.6 metre wide machine capable of die-cutting a range of corrugated and micro-flute materials at speeds of up to 4,800 sheets per hour, with job changeover in less than 10 minutes. The machine will complement an existing BOBST die-cutter, an SPO160-Vision. Paul Griffin said, “We are a company with strong values. Offering our customers flexibility in production and delivering short lead times are two of the corner stones of the way we do business. Without the new BOBST machines we would have been in danger of letting these slip and there was no way that we were going to let that happen”. TheVISIONFOLD 170 folder-gluer will give Diamond Box customers access to an increased number of box styles and the machine brings high speed production and significantly reduced set times to the company’s multi-point gluing operations. Kavi Jundu said “We have seen good growth in this area and having the VISIONFOLD will allow us to deliver an expanded range of box styles while maintaining the service customers expect from us.
