Lars Wallentin is a living legend of package field. He is from Sweden, he is a theorist and practician of design, almost all his life he's dedicated to food products package design. Having graduated from the Stockholm Graphic College, in 1964 he moved to Switzerland where he'd been working in Nestle headquarters for 40 years.
He participated in design for such product brands as Nesquick, Nescafe, Cadbury, Danone, P&G, Maggi and many others. It's interesting that Wallentin worked in food products design almost within half of a century, this field is a sort of Sparta for designers, only the strongest survive. Lars knows everything about package. His favorite slogan is "Surprise or you won't be noticed!" He always repeats that advertisement should "talk" with a customer only in this case it will be in demand. His design is always vivid and unusual, his ideas are fresh and innovative. In Russia Lars considers chocolate Alenka with an image of little Russian girl to be the best example of package. Lars Wallentin thinks that on advertisement posters there should be only three main components: logo, slogan and product illustration, in order to make it better remembered by customers.
Lars Wallentin says: "The most essential thing in the work is the exchange of information. I willingly transfer my knowledge, at the same time I get new ones, which in turn I share further. Only in this way can there be know-how in the packaging design that can develop".
Lars Wallentin will share his experience, realized projects, strategies in the field of package design and design with the participants of the conference "Who sells What to Whom", which will be held in Moscow on October 9, 2017 in the Digital October Congress Center and in St. Petersburg on October 12, 2017. in the conference hall of the Grand Hotel Emerald.
